  再获市场认可,大圆柱电池要爆发?

  近日,亿纬锂能发布公告称,子公司湖北亿纬动力有限公司已经收到一汽奔腾汽车股份有限公司关于大圆柱电池的供应商定点通知。

  这一消息为亿纬锂能2025年订单开了个好头,也表明大圆柱产品在乘用车市场的认可度在进一步提升。

  盖世汽车了解到,自特斯拉在2020年提出明日之星4680电池概念后,全球产业迅速响应,多家企业纷纷跟进。作为电池领域的布局重点之一,亿纬锂能的46系大圆柱电池在2023年已经实现了量产上车。

  除了再获车企定点,大圆柱电池在2025年已经在储能领域有多个项目开工。那么,2025年会是大圆柱电池的爆发之年吗?

  产能增长竞赛已开启

  亿纬锂能成为一汽奔腾定点供应商,标志着其大圆柱电池的产品性能和供货资格上获得了认可,未来将推动其在锂离子动力电池市场的发展。

  这也是继宝马、江淮瑞风、长安启源等车企之后,亿纬锂能大圆柱电池在新能源乘用车领域的应用版图持续扩张

  亿纬锂能表示,该项目的实施将有助于提升其在电动汽车行业的市场拓展力、综合实力和国际化水平。不过,实际供货量需以正式销售订单为准,对亿纬锂能本年度的经营业绩影响暂不确定。

  值得注意的是,亿纬锂能在2024年已经更新了向不特定对象发行可转换公司债券募集说明书的修订稿,拟发行不超过50亿元的可转债用于电池项目扩产。其中,31亿元用于23GWh圆柱磷酸铁锂储能动力电池项目,19亿元用于21GWh大圆柱乘用车动力电池项目。

  在大圆柱电池产能增长的竞赛中,亿纬锂能和特斯拉显得尤为突出,它们分别规划了超过200GWh以及100GWh的庞大产能,正在引领行业发展。

  盖世汽车研究院指出,在2023年的市场应用中,国内圆柱构型的动力电池占据了6%的市场份额。在这些圆柱电池中,高达80%属于26系及以上大圆柱动力电池,其中又以34系、32系、60系和46系产品为主流。

  此外,有近70%的圆柱形动力电池被应用于A0级别及以下的小型车辆中,主要以长安Lumin(配置|询价)宏光Mini EV(配置|询价)、吉利几何E等为代表。

  多元市场需求释放

  产业正积累“质变”

  根据封装方式和形状的不同,锂电池可以分为方形、软包和圆柱三种形态。

  方形电池单体容量大,成组效率高,但存在型号繁多、一致性差等问题;软包电池体积小,散热性能优异,能量密度高,但存在鼓包、技术难度高等问题。

  相较于方形和软包,大圆柱电池标准化程度高,其生产效率及一致性优势明显,而且随着大圆柱电池尺寸升级,同时适配更高能的正负极材料,其能量密度也将明显改善。

  作为较早押注大圆柱电池技术路线的电池企业,早在2022年3月举行的中国电动汽车百人会上,亿纬锂能亿纬锂能董事长刘金成就曾表示,“大圆柱电池成为行业的王者,已经初露曙光。”

  亿纬锂能已经深耕圆柱技术20余年,研发制造经验丰富,打造了突破性的大圆柱电池及系统,自问世以来,已获得诸多客户青睐。

  大圆柱电池在2024年末至2025年初迎来了一波规模放量的新进展,在行业人士看来,国内大圆柱电池产业正迎来多元市场需求集中释放的“破晓时刻”。

  比如,1月3日,创明新能源绵阳基地首批大圆柱电池正式交付客户。此次交付产品为32140型磷酸铁锂电芯,初期将主要应用于大规模储能领域;1月17日,云山动力(宁波)有限公司一期46系列大圆柱超充电池量产线正式投产。该产线年产能1.5GWh,为46系列大圆柱全极耳超充电池量产线,采用全自动磁悬浮高速激光焊接组装线、超高压注液线等先进设备;2月5日,烟台力华电源科技有限公司25GWh 46系大圆柱储能电池项目一标段主车间完成建设。项目一期规划建成4GWh大圆柱磷酸铁锂电芯产能,按计划将在今年6月份投产,全面达产后可实现年产25GWh大圆柱磷酸铁锂电芯生产能力。

  行业人士指出,订单增加、批量交付、产能扩张等一系列积极进展背后,是大圆柱电池生产工艺持续精进,最终实现“量变引起质变”的产业积累。

  盖世汽车研究院也指出,要实现真正的大规模交付,产业仍需继续提高生产良率,并在设备和工艺层面加速创新,以便为大圆柱形动力电池的腾飞铺平道路,走上真正的康庄大道。

Gaishi Automobile learned that since Tesla proposed the Tomorrow's Star 4680 battery concept in 2020, the global industry has responded quickly, and many companies have followed suit. As one of the key layout points in the battery field, EVE Energy's 46 series large cylindrical battery has achieved mass production and been put into vehicles by 2023.

In addition to being designated by car companies again, the large cylindrical battery has already started multiple projects in the energy storage field by 2025. So, will 2025 be the year of the explosion of large cylindrical batteries?

This is also the continuous expansion of the application scope of EVE Energy large cylindrical batteries in the field of new energy passenger vehicles, following car companies such as BMW, Jianghuai Ruifeng, and Changan Qiyuan.

EVE Energy stated that the implementation of this project will help enhance its market expansion, comprehensive strength, and internationalization level in the electric vehicle industry. However, the actual supply quantity needs to be based on the official sales orders, and the impact on the operating performance of EVE Energy this year is currently uncertain.

It is worth noting that EVE Energy has updated the revised prospectus for issuing convertible corporate bonds to unspecified targets in 2024, intending to issue convertible bonds not exceeding 5 billion yuan for battery project expansion. Among them, 3.1 billion yuan is used for the 23GWh cylindrical lithium iron phosphate energy storage power battery project, and 1.9 billion yuan is used for the 21GWh large cylindrical passenger car power battery project.

In the competition for increasing the production capacity of large cylindrical batteries, EVE Energy and Tesla stand out particularly, with plans for huge production capacities of over 200GWh and 100GWh respectively, leading the industry's development.

Gaishi Automotive Research Institute pointed out that in the market application in 2023, domestic cylindrical power batteries will occupy 6% of the market share. Among these cylindrical batteries, up to 80% belong to 26 series and above large cylindrical power batteries, with 34 series, 32 series, 60 series, and 46 series products being the mainstream.

In addition, nearly 70% of cylindrical power batteries are used in small vehicles of A0 level and below, mainly represented by Changan Lumin (configuration | inquiry), Hongguang Mini EV (configuration | inquiry), Geely Geometry E, etc.

Square batteries have a large individual capacity and high grouping efficiency, but there are problems such as a wide variety of models and poor consistency; Soft pack batteries have a small volume, excellent heat dissipation performance, and high energy density, but there are problems such as bulging and high technical difficulty.

Compared to square and soft pack batteries, large cylindrical batteries have a higher degree of standardization, and their production efficiency and consistency advantages are obvious. Moreover, with the upgrading of the size of large cylindrical batteries and the adaptation of higher energy positive and negative electrode materials, their energy density will also be significantly improved.

From the end of 2024 to the beginning of 2025, there has been a new development in the large-scale production of large cylindrical batteries. In the eyes of industry insiders, the domestic large cylindrical battery industry is ushering in a "dawn moment" of concentrated release of diversified market demand.

For example, on January 3rd, the first batch of large cylindrical batteries from Chuangming New Energy's Mianyang base were officially delivered to customers. The delivered product this time is 32140 lithium iron phosphate battery cell, which will be mainly used in the field of large-scale energy storage in the initial stage; On January 17th, Yunshan Power (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. officially put into production the first phase of the 46 series large cylindrical supercharging battery production line. The production line has an annual capacity of 1.5 GWh and is a mass production line for 46 series large cylindrical full pole ear supercapacitors. It adopts advanced equipment such as fully automatic magnetic levitation high-speed laser welding assembly line and ultra-high voltage injection line; On February 5th, the main workshop of the first section of the 25GWh 46 series large cylindrical energy storage battery project of Yantai Lihua Power Technology Co., Ltd. was completed. The first phase of the project plans to build a production capacity of 4GWh of large cylindrical lithium iron phosphate batteries, which is scheduled to be put into operation in June this year. After reaching full capacity, it can achieve an annual production capacity of 25GWh of large cylindrical lithium iron phosphate batteries.

Industry insiders point out that behind a series of positive developments such as increased orders, bulk deliveries, and capacity expansion, there is a continuous improvement in the production process of large cylindrical batteries, ultimately achieving an industry accumulation of "quantity changes leading to quality changes".

The Gaishi Automotive Research Institute also pointed out that in order to achieve true large-scale delivery, the industry still needs to continue to improve production yield and accelerate innovation in equipment and processes, in order to pave the way for the takeoff of large cylindrical power batteries and embark on a truly prosperous path.
