On March 14, the launching ceremony of the China-Europe Railway Express (Wuhan) "Dongfeng" special train was held at China Railway United Logistics Wuhan Central Station. The "Dongfeng" special train, fully loaded with Dongfeng Voyah new energy vehicles, departed westward towards Moscow Serebryanoe Station in Russia, covering a total distance of 8,909 kilometers with a travel time of approximately 18 days. This marks the official start of regular operations for the China-Europe Railway Express (Wuhan) "Dongfeng" special train.
At the ceremony, Dongfeng Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Hubei Port Group. The two sides will strengthen collaboration in comprehensive logistics, multimodal transportation, and explore new logistics models to build an internationally competitive supply chain service system, supporting Dongfeng Motor's steady progress in internationalization.
In recent years, Dongfeng Motor has accelerated its international leap, continuously expanding overseas markets with its brands present in over 100 countries and regions across Europe, South America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Brands like Lantu and Mengshi have gained popularity among global consumers, showcasing the upward momentum of Chinese brands and boosting Hubei's automotive industry's opening-up. Wuhan aims to establish the "Dongfeng" train as a direct channel for the city to access international markets and an accelerator for export-oriented economic growth, further assisting Dongfeng in expanding its global footprint.
As a key logistics artery connecting Wuhan, Hubei Province with Belt and Road countries, the China-Europe Railway Express (Wuhan) has operated regularly for over a decade, with 57 stable cross-border routes radiating to more than 40 countries and 119 cities in Eurasia. The customized "Dongfeng" service will provide a stable and high-speed logistics corridor for Junfeng Company's new energy vehicle exports and Dongfeng Motor's accelerated "going global" strategy.
