On November 22nd, Dongfeng Motor Group R&D Institute held a launch ceremony for seasonal development and overseas adaptive development. More than 100 test vehicles from over 10 vehicle projects (including facelift projects) will depart from Wuhan and travel to the Mohe Cold Zone Test Base in Heilongjiang, Australia, Russia, the Middle East, South America, Africa, and other places. Over 300 professional engineers will undergo rigorous testing, tackle key core technologies, improve product quality and global adaptability, and create sustainable and competitive explosive products.
It is reported that this seasonal development includes cold zone adaptation development and off-season adaptation development. The development of adaptability to cold regions will be carried out in Mohe, Heilongjiang Province from early December this year to the end of March 2025. More than 200 engineers will conduct tests on over 100 test vehicles, including adaptability to cold driving habits, low-temperature air conditioning heating performance, and low-temperature charging performance; The anti seasonal adaptation development will be carried out in Alice Springs, Australia from early December this year to the end of March 2025. More than 20 engineers will complete the hot zone supplementary calibration and hot zone adaptation testing. At the same time, an overseas adaptive development team composed of the company's R&D headquarters, Xiangyang Daan, Dongfeng Import and Export, and local partners will carry out testing projects on charging compatibility, environmental adaptability, vehicle function testing, and high or low temperature adaptability development for two vehicle models in regions such as the Middle East, South America, Russia, and Africa. It is expected to continue until June 2025.
